HOLLYWOOD has been a major source of inspiration for Madame Alexander, going all the way back to 1936 when she created the prototype for a Scarlett O'Hara doll and won the contract to produce in conjunction with the 1939 release of the movie Gone With the Wind. Other inspirations include movies such as The Sound of Music, The Wizard of Oz, Camelot, Some Like it Hot, Funny Face, Breakfast at Tiffany's, An American in Paris, and a variety of iconic actresses.
