Petticoat Picnic Wendy Doll - Heritage Gallery Benefit
Petticoat Picnic Doll, an 8” bent-knee Wendy sculpt with blue eyes and a center-parted, gold bob is the 2011 Madame Alexander Heritage Doll. What this means is that a portion of the proceeds from the sales of the doll will go to support the Heritage Gallery. Essentially you get a two-fer: A sweet and charming doll, plus the ability to help support the Heritage Gallery, which has delighted so many visitors and is a huge collector favorite. As for the doll, she’s dressed in a pink Swiss cotton organdy frock that’s trimmed with pink and white ombre ribbon on the skirt, the waist, and on the sleeves, which are finished with a pink picot edge. Gorgeous pink/white and blue/white ombre ribbon flowers decorate the skirt of the dress. A gold straw hat with a large pink taffeta bow in front, a white pearl with gold tone clasp, a necklace, white lace-trimmed panties, petticoat, and socks, and light pink patent leather Mary Jane’s completes Petticoat Picnic, a wonderful doll to have in the Madame Alexander Heritage Collection.
