Madame Alexander® Asks Where Would We Be Without Our Furry Friends?
2004-01-01

And the answer is nowhere, which is why the Alexander Co. has created an exceptional line of Furry Friends for 2004.

Redhead Wendy, with green eyes and freckles is ready when it's Raining Cats and Dogs. Her blue slicker with yellow gingham trim has a matching hat and blue vinyl galoshes. Beneath the slicker she wears an a-line cut dress that has a yellow bodice and pastel print skirt. She will brighten any gloomy day with this outfit as will her dog, Danger, and cat, Mischief. For them, too, have wonderful Raining Cats and Dogs apparel. Danger comes in a coat, boot and hat outfit that matches Wendy's, and Mischief has a jaunty matching hat.

Of course, after your furry friend has been splashing around puddles it will be time for Danger's Bath. And boy is Wendy ready! This little new, classic cutie with bend knees, blue eyes and gay gold pigtails is prepared to dunk Danger in his washtub with iridescent bubbles. Once she gets him in she'll use Doggie bubble bath to get the ivory and brown dog clean, and then dry him with a dry, monogrammed terrycloth towel. And Wendy doesn't even care if Danger's Bath gets water on her two-piece bathing suit with triangle top and ruffled bottoms, or her jelly sandals.

After the bath, Wendy and Danger are going to be Team Mates and play baseball, and they'll do it in style. Brunette Wendy is dressed in a 1940's pink baseball dress with white panties, white knee highs, pink and white sneakers and a pink denim baseball cap. Danger has a pink and white striped jersey and a pink and white baseball cap of his own. He's ready to begin the game, and stands for the pitch with a baseball bat. The ball that comes with Team Mates can be caught by Wendy with her brown baseball mitt.

Wendy and Muffy Vanderbear® decides to go off by themselves for a while, and they do it in style. They both wear, sleeveless monogrammed gingham sundresses. Wendy's is blue and white, while Muffy's is pink and white, each of which is trimmed with rickrack. Wendy and Muffy have bows in their "hair, pink Mary Jane's and, pictures of themselves on the pockets of their dresses. For their day away, each has taken a small bag. In Wendy's there is a resin Wendy in a pink gingham dress and in Muffy's there is a 3" Muffy in a blue gingham dress.

Nothing pleases Wendy more than when she is surrounded by all her friends, so she gathers them together and takes them for Ballet Lessons. She wears a black leotard, pink rehearsal skirt, tights, leg warmers and ballet shoes. Danger, Mischief, and Chaos are all wearing the same "tutu' but each is accented with different colors. Ballet Lessons is available in Caucasian, Asian and African-American.

And as one can never have too many friends, Madame Alexander is making sure there are plenty around and bringing back, Twinkle Toes, Puppy Love, The Four of Us Set, Best Friends, Equestrian Wendy and Antique Chaos the Bear and Wendy.
