Madame Alexander's® Cissette "Comes out of the Shadows" and, Learns Some New Moves in 2004!
2004-01-01

2004 is a wonderful year for Cissette. There are new shadow dolls, a Cissette with eight points of articulation, and a trunk. And that's just for starters….. There are shadow Wendy's, a ball gown and a bride.

Seventies Strut Shadow Cissette is a shadow of the 70's Cissy. This ten" doll wears a blue corset, black shorts, and fabulously floral, embroidered coat that comes with matching knee high boots and fishnet stockings. A black, crocheted hat with a red flower and a charming necklace complete Seventies Strut Shadow Cissette's kickin' ensemble. Available in Caucasian and African-American.

Everyone dreams of attending an event where they can wear a lovely ball gown. Black and White Ball Cissette gets to do exactly that with her newly sculpted body. This longhaired, 10" brunette appears at the ball in a white silk organza gown with black, beaded Chantilly embroidery. Underneath the organza is a layer of fine, white satin. And on top, a delicate shawl made from the same organza as the dress completes the outfit along with black shoes.

Evening Cissette, with her blue eyes and blonde upswept hair is a vision in a strapless embroidered silk gown. The full skirt of the dress is embroidered with a lavender and green floral design, and is embellished, at the waist, with a lavender sash. Lavender shoes and a clutch purse, as well as pearl earrings and a necklace add the finishing touches to Evening Cissette.

Eight points of articulation and a commemorative sculpt make Cissette's 1950's Trunk Set a wonderful addition to any Cissette collection. With her swivel waist, bend knees and jointed shoulders, this 10", blue eyed blonde looks fabulous in the black and white polka dot dress and matching, wide brimmed hat that comes with the set. But that's not all; Cissette's 1950's Trunk Set is a treasure chest full of pretty clothes; a fuchsia tweed suit, red purse and shoes, a white with red polka dots bikini and sunglasses, and, a Capri outfit in turquoise and white. And there's even more… Cissette's 1950's Trunk Set has a wide brimmed white straw with a turquoise and white sash, sandals and white high heels. There isn't anyone who won't want this trunk set!

Who can resist a bride? The Alexander Co. certainly can't, which is why they have created My Special Day. Available in blonde, brunette and African-American, this Cissette wears a wedding dress of white satin that features embroidered English net panels. Lace trims the bodice top, neckline, and, adds a graceful touch to the hem of the gown. Her English net veil is tucked in below her braided and coiled hair. Rhinestone accents sparkle on both her hair and ears. And a
Lovely bouquet of Calla lilies with love knot streamers is carried in My Special Day's hand.

Blue Bird Shadow is the most adorable Wendy. She is the 8' companion to the Blue Bird Cissy. The new, classic Wendy with blue eyes and blonde hair wears an ivory organza and blue taffeta dress. And just like the original, her skirt is embroidered with blue birds. Blue Bird Shadow wears a shawl, a matching hat and slip on shoes. If her name weren't already Blue Bird Shadow, it would definitely be "the Blue Bird of Happiness. Also available as an African-American.

An 8" new classic Wendy with black hair and amazing purple eyes is the limited edition Maimey Shadow. She wears a blue silk taffeta that has matching embroidery on the skirt and the bodice. If she gets chilly, Maimey Shadow has a fuzzy white sweater she can slip on. Blue shoes and a matching purse complete this charming little ensemble.

Because no bride would dream of walking down the aisle without a bridal party, Madame Alexander is bringing back the Groom in blonde, brunette and African-American, Flowers for the Bride, and Rosette Dreams in blonde, brunette and African-American. And, should the bride decide she'd rather go retro, Wendy's Fabulous Fifties Trunk Set can still be had.
