Popular Cissy, always so beautiful, always so stylishly dressed. By reintroducing Cissy in 1996, the Alexander Doll Company, once again, became a leader in both the doll and fashion world. The new collection for 2003 continues that trend, while taking a nostalgic turn. The 40’s, 50’s, and every decade after, right through to the beginning of the 21st century, are represented by the stunning new line of Cissys.
Beginning with the 1940’s, the company is offering a Fabulous Forties Accessory Set. The set includes a wig, a chic hat, pair of stockings, shoes, and cigarette holder all packed into an elegantly ribbon-tied new Cissy hatbox.
Fifties Swing Cissy, a blonde, blue-eyed doll wears a black dress with a full skirt and yellow embroidery. Her wide brimmed hat is stylishly decorated with a big red rose. Black sandal heels and a purse complete the outfit.
What could be more mod than Sixties Go-Go Cissy? Dressed in a sheath “geometric” dress of red, white, yellow and black stripes and you have the look. Add knee high white boots, a matching white purse, a bracelet, and a short dark hairdo, and you are there, totally!
Seventies Strut Cissy, also available as an African American, is sizzling in her new outfit. The full-length embroidered coat, with red lining, is worn over a corset, short skirt, and black, fishnet pantyhose. Her thigh high, black embroidered boots with a cuff are embroidered to match the coat. A knitted cap with flower and a necklace completed this cover worthy ensemble.
Eighties Elegance Cissy is ready for an evening out. Her yellow silk gown with embroidered green vines and multi-colored flowers goes beautifully with her curly, upswept blonde hair and green eyes. Her fuchsia shawl adds just the right touch, in so many ways. For you can use the shawl to achieve 10 different looks!
A beaded two part outfit, corset and skirt, in black, are worn by Cissy in Dressed to the Nines. The corset is black lace over dark rose, and the skirt is tulle. The doll’s formal curly hair-do suits her exactly right, as does the magnificent earrings and necklace. A corsage of roses, just above her bust, adds the final touch.
Center Stage Cissy 2000 with auburn hair and blue eyes looks scintillating in a gown of pink organza ruffles. Her pale pink shawl, decorated with the same silver beadwork and appliques that is on the bodice, enhances the gown. The silver necklace and earrings complete a look that is so shimmery, that it surely takes center stage.
