Receipt of Doll
Once we have evaluated the doll, you will receive a call from one of the Doll Hospital staff. They will tell you what we can and cannot do. At this time she will also itemize the charges and you can then decide what you want us to do. We accept personal checks, Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. If we do not receive payment within 30 days of the call, your doll(s) will be returned to you.
If you have any other questions, please contact us at 212-283-5900 or e-mail at ma@alexdoll.com.
Q - I just need a few rubber bands to fix my dolls.
A - Madame Alexander does not sell rubber bands or wigs. Dolls needing these items will have to be sent in for estimate and repair. Accessories and outfits that belong to dolls produced in the last two years are available on a limited basis and may be purchased. Accessories for dolls older than two years may be available on a limited basis. Please include the name and style number of the doll(s) when you contact us.
Q - I've just moved and want to find an authorized Madame Alexander retailer.
A - No problem. Go to our home page, www.madamealexander.com and click on 'find a store'. Enter your new zip code and a list of stores will be shown. If you need further assistance, contact us at 212-283-5900 or e-mail ma@alexdoll.com.
Q - I'm starting a collection for my granddaughters. Are all the dolls available at all times?
A - Madame Alexander dolls are available for different periods of time. Each year we retire approximately one-third of the current year's catalog. To find out which dolls will be retiring at the end of 2002, click here.
Q - I have collected Madame Alexander Dolls for years and now want to turn my hobby into a business. How do I become a Madame Alexander dealer?
A - To find out more about becoming an authorized Madame Alexander dealer, please send your name, store name, city and state to sales@alexdoll.com and we will have the representative for your area contact you.
Q - The figurine collections from your Classic Collectibles were wonderful. I'm not able to find them as easily. Any suggestions?
A - The figurine line was retired at the end of 2001. We no longer manufacture or sell these items. There are still a number of doll retailers listed on our Web site who may carry the figurines. If you need assistance locating specific styles, contact Angelo in our Customer Service Department.
Q - My daughters received several Madame Alexander dolls at the same time and the registration cards were mixed up. I can't tell which card goes with which doll. Can you help me sort this out?
A - The registration cards are not pre-assigned. You may use any card for the dolls.
Q - I'm looking for a doll I was given as a girl twenty-five years ago and I don't see it in the catalog or on your Web site. I'd like to give my new baby daughter the same doll.
A - Traditions are part of what makes Madame Alexander dolls so special. And passing a favorite doll along to a family member is very popular. It's a way of keeping the connection between generations. Although we may not have the exact doll that you received as a child, the Huggums and Victoria dolls are being enjoyed by lots of babies (and collectors of all ages). Take a look on our Web site to see the current line.
Q - My collection of Madame Alexander catalogs is missing the current edition. How may I purchase a catalog?
A - The 2002 catalog is $5.00 and may be paid for by check or credit card. You may contact our Customer Service department at 212-283-5900 or send a request with your check or credit card information to:

Q - I recently purchased a doll at a major department store and did not see it in the catalog or on your Web site. Why is there no image of this doll available?
A - Throughout the year, we make a number of limited edition specials for stores and catalogs that are not part of our regular product line and are only available through these venues. You may see a list of these specials on the 'What's New' page of our Web site.
Q - I will be in New York and would like to take a tour of the factory. How may I arrange this?
A - Because we are a working factory, we do not have scheduled tours available. We do try to accommodate requests, but it is not always possible and depends on our production and personnel demands. Please contact our customer service department when you know your travel plans.
Q - I just heard about the McDonald's Happy Meal Dolls. How can I get a set?
A - McDonald's manufactured and distributed the dolls directly. The availability of these and all the dolls in the promotion was determined by McDonald's. Unfortunately, we are unable to supply you with the requested styles.
The McDonald's dolls were miniatures of our 8" traditional dolls. You may find these and our complete 2002 collection on our Web site, www.madamealexander.com, click on 'Online Catalogs'. Cool Cathy is based on our Hannah Pepper Collection which includes 4 ten inch play dolls and additional outfits for them to wear. Our Petite Playhouse dolls are 5" vinyl dolls with rooted hair and trendy outfits that appeal to today's kids.
We also have a selection of bride and groom dolls that come in brunette, blonde and African American, and a charming cake topper with our 5" vinyl bride and groom that is available in either Caucasian or African American.
Q - Still have a question that we haven't answered?
A - E-mail us at ma@alexdoll.com.
Q - I have sent several e-mails to ma@alexdoll.com and never received a reply.
A - If you have contacted us by e-mail at ma@alexdoll.com and have not received a reply, there may be a block from your internet provider that prevents our return message from getting through to you. Kindly resend your e-mail along with your name, address, phone number and fax number, if available, and we will be able to respond to your inquiry. To help us and other Madame Alexander collectors, please contact your internet provider to remove this block.
